Operations · Model Farm

A 10-acre model farm for member farmers.

A working demonstration farm where KFPCL trials new seeds, natural farming techniques, multi-cropping systems and modern irrigation — so member farmers can see results before adopting them on their own land.

Multi-cropping and crop diversification

The farm is planned around multi-cropping systems that improve soil health, spread risk across seasons and demonstrate higher per-acre returns versus single-crop cycles.

New seed trials and varietal evaluation

We run structured trials of new seed varieties from research institutes and partner companies — evaluating yield, disease resistance and field performance under local Haryana conditions before recommending them to members.

Natural farming practices

Plots are dedicated to natural farming — bio-inputs, cover cropping, mulching and reduced chemical dependency — giving farmers a low-cost, soil-first model to learn from.

Drip irrigation and mulching

Every block is fitted with drip irrigation and plastic / organic mulching to showcase water savings, weed control and consistent yields, with installations supported by our partners Netafim and Rivulis.

Horticulture crops

Dedicated horticulture blocks include vegetables and fruit crops grown on trellis and drip — building member capacity to move from traditional field crops into higher-value horticulture.
